James II: Day of the Innocents

James II: Day of the Innocents

A National Premiere Event! Part Two of this thrilling trilogy direct from the Royal National Theatre takes audiences inside the nightmares of young King James II. As his worst and most imaginative fears come alive on stage, the new king must decide who to trust in a coming-of-age story of friendship and betrayal. A cast of hundreds of athletes and performers will join together to create the epic world of award-winning playwright Rona Munro's "The James Plays" continuing with this unique and physical staging you will not want to miss. CONTENT ADVISORY: Although we have worked with the playwright and the school district to remove language that may be offensive to some high school audiences, there are still some instances of intense violence, mild language, and other suggestive situations portrayed in The James Plays. The plays may not be suitable for audiences of all ages. They are probably equivalent to a PG-13 film rating. James II in particular has some intense visual storytelling that may be scary for young viewers.
